Dear Residents and Owners living off campus, I would like to bring to your attention the recent cost escalation in EB bills paid by the association. This is for your information only. We welcome your insights. Here is a graph that shows how much we have paid (or will be paying) since October 2022. This is with Business As Usual continuing without any addition of common electrical loads. We see that we are paying 19% higher than October bill. This is primarily due to tariff increase by the Electricity Board. If we continue as usual, this new upper threshold will also continue. I am sure you see a hike in your personal electricity bill and are possibly taking actions on it. So we at JEGFOWA need to cut down on inefficiencies. Your help and support in doing the same is absolutely essential. Common lighting, water pumps and 4 lifts are the major loads connected to the common service lines. Reinforcing Security of Jains Eiffel Garden

Dear All, It has come to our attention that some caretakers of elderly people living alone in our premises have not been in the best of their behaviour. Also we see heavy churn of caretakers for a specific apartment. Some of these caretakers off late are seemingly picked off the street and do not have a professional backing. We have reached out the next of kin in specific cases and they have expressed their inability to intervene with the informed choices of their elders. For instance, a young lady (a caretaker working at one of the apartments) was creating ruckus in front of our gates at midnight yesterday. She was apparently very drunk and was demanding entry to the premises. She was not allowed entry. There was report of a suspicious person accompanying her. Another situation for example is when the elderly was sleeping in the night, the caretaker left the flat door open, left the premises presumably for having dinner (or some such excuse) and came back at odd times in the night. Kudos to Dr Sharaan

Dear All, We (your Executive Committee) want to place our sincere appreciations and gratitude on record, for the wonderful voluntary health diagnosis/prognosis provided by Dr Sharaan (our co-resident) to our staff. Dr Sharaan specializes in cardiology. He works at the SIMS Hospital, Vadapalani. Understandably, he is a very busy person. He is also a very kind and warm gentleman. We did a health check for all our staff based on his cue and getting the necessary EC approval. Dr Sharaan was kind enough to evaluate all the reports, spend time to see staff in person individually, and provide his diagnosis and prognosis for free. Amidst his busy, high priority and demanding schedule, he allocated time for this voluntary service.  On behalf of our association members and all the residents of Jains Eiffel Garden, we wish to place our sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr Sharaan on record.
